About Buscemis Monroe!
Buscemi’s has been a familiar, beloved name around Southeast Michigan ever since Paul Buscemi began selling his signature sub sandwiches in Detroit in 1956. As Paul saw it, the key to success was simple: Make and sell delicious food – and do so at fair, family-friendly prices. People loved Paul’s sandwiches, but when he perfected his deep-dish pizza with sauce, it became something special. Those who tried it knew they want it again. The Buscemis legend was born.
Today, the Buscemis name adorns a variety of independently-operated franchised pizzerias throughout southeast Michigan. Buscemis of Monroe remains true to Paul Buscemis' original vision: delicious, distinctive food made from high-quality ingredients and sold at fair prices. It’s a recipe for quality that generations of downriver families have counted on since 1956.
Buscemi’s Monroe’s original owner, Rich Knapp, stepped aside in 2011. Larry Dorow, a loyal Buscemi’s Monroe employee for over ten years at the time, took over the business, committed to continuing its tradition of quality, customer service, and community involvement. Buscemi’s of Monroe is a proud locally owned and operated business, an integral part of Monroe community life, and a traditional favorite of Monroe families. Larry has proudly served Monroe residents for 23+ years.
